Current Skincare Routine

Looking after your skin is one of the most important things that you can do in order to have healthy looking skin (obviously!) but when it actually comes to it, I and many others, become lazy with our skincare.

My skin type is combination; oily T-zone with spots as well as dry patches just to confuse me! I previously used make up wipes which, unfortunately for the lazy person like me, are a definite no as they never quite remove all the make up. However, since I have been regularly cleansing my face properly and following this routine, I have noticed a difference in my skin. It feels much softer and looks slightly clearer which is a bonus!

In the morning, I use Bioderma Micellar Water to clean and refresh my face. This cleansing water is extremely gentle and soothing and does not cause any additional break outs for me unlike some others.

Next I apply my moisturiser which varies day to day. I tend to switch between the Avene Rich moisturiser when my skin is feeling particularly dry and the Origins GingZing moistruriser when I want a lighter moisturiser. Both are equally as good under make up.

In the evening, to remove my make up, I use Clinique’s take the day off cleansing balm. When you rub it into your skin, it turns into an oil. I then remove it using warm water and a flannel. If there is any left over balm on the face, I use the Bioderma Water to clean it off. IMG_5553 (3)

Finally, I apply the Avene Moisturiser before I go to bed so that my skin is smooth and moisturised in the morning!

What is your current skincare routine?
