You’ll never guess what…I bought some new make up as one does as they peruse the aisles of Boots and the many other establishments. I also did a spot of internet shopping.
First I was drawn to this Eyes Uncovered Nude Palette by Collection because the shades just looked perfect for someone who likes a simple but chic look. There are six shades in total, all of which are highly pigmented and easy to blend. The shades are perfect for the daytime and a smokey eye can also be created for more of an evening look. It is so affordable as well and is on offer at Boots currently so what is not to like?
I love buying new foundations so I could not resist this L’Oreal Infallible Foundation. Unfortunately, as my skin is so pale, the lightest shade (Porcelain 10) was still too dark for me which is annoying as the L’Oreal True Match Foundation in N1 is pale enough for me. Apart from the colour, this is a good foundation for mattifying the skin and controlling oil throughout the day. It blends very easily and does not dry out the skin.
Next I went into a Kiko shop and I wanted to try something as I had never bought anything from Kiko before. I went for the Natural Concealer in shade 01 Clear. The colour isn’t actually clear as the name suggests, it is a brightening pale pink shade, perfect for under the eyes. The great thing is that the formula is lightweight and very easy to blend. However, I am not convinced that it lasts very long during the day and it is not good for covering blemishes.
Lastly are two make up brushes from Zoeva. Zoeva brushes seem to be very popular in the blogging world as well as with Youtubers so I was excited to try these and they did not disappoint. The first brush I bought was the 122 Petit Stippling brush. It is a dual fibre brush, perfect for blending in liquid products such as concealer and highlighter. The great thing is that they hardly ever drop bristles and they are easy to wash…perfect!
The last brush I purchased was the 102 Silk Finish brush. I absolutely love this brush for applying foundation; it is so soft and blends the foundation seamlessly. Like the Stippling brush, it barely drops bristles and is a dream to wash! I had previously used the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush but I think I have been converted to Zoeva brushes!
I would love to know if you have tried any of these products or if you have any other make up recommendations for me!
