IKEA Haul

Believe it or not, I had never been to IKEA in my whole 16 years of existence; I was deprived as a child from the vast expanse that it is. I managed to persuade my mum that it would be a great day out for us both and we could spend some quality time together looking around the showroom, so that is what we did!

I had a few ideas of what I wanted to buy, the typical blogger items and things I actually needed such as a desk chair, but of course with shopping there are always great, unplanned extras that slip in.

The first thing I bought was this white plastic box with a blue inside for £3.00. I got this to keep my day-to-day skincare bits and bobs in. There is not very much to say about it other than its very simple design that fits its purpose!

  

Next up are these adorable milk bottles which were so cheap at £1 each! They are technically a vase but they are really versatile so can be used for smoothies (like in this post here) and drinks too.

I love these jars as they too can be used for a variety of things. You could put them on your desk to store paper clips or pins, to store craft supplies such as buttons or in your kitchen for spices (which I think is what they were designed for!). I haven’t yet decided what to do with them as there are too many choices!

These flowers were a bit of an impulse buy, they just looked too cute to leave! They were both around £1.50 each which in the long run, saves you a lot of money buying fresh flowers. From afar, they look reasonably realistic and just freshen up a room!

Finally, it is the blogger’s essentials. Almost everybody seems to love and own these so I thought it was necessary to pick them up (especially as it was my first time in IKEA). I chose these two designs which both happened to be £1.90 each! I use the smaller one to store my small collection of lip glosses and lipsticks and the bigger one as an organiser for my bedside table. It contains things like post it notes, my phone, headphones, hair bands and lip balm.
