When summer comes around, a smoothie is a great breakfast idea to get you going in the morning. Simple but scrumptious, this strawberry smoothie is a winner!
This recipe uses a hand blender as I hate washing up the big food processor but alternatively, you can use a food processor or a normal blender.
Ingredients (makes 2 glasses)
400g/14oz strawberries (however you could add other fruits e.g. bananas)
2-3 tbsp icing sugar, to taste
200g/7oz Greek yoghurt
4 tbsp single cream
1. Wash your strawberries (this picture was probably unnecessary but hey ho!).
2. Hull your strawberries and add them to a bowl alongside your icing sugar. Blend until they become a smooth purée.
3. Add the yoghurt and the cream and blend it again until it becomes frothy. Try the mixture to make sure it is sweet enough; if not, add more icing sugar.
4. Pour into glasses and voilà!
